Following the government's update to the tier system from 2nd December, the venue and training times for the grading have now been updated. Those booked on from 29th November have been contacted to tell them which session they're booked in to. Those wishing to join us for an outdoor training session can still book in using the online booking form below.

We are delighted to invite you to a special seminar on Sunday 6th December, as we welcome Sensei Jimmy Brennan (8th Dan) back to Bristol! Booking is NOW OPEN!

As a competitor, Sensei Jimmy Brennan won the European Shotokan Championships as part of the all-conquering KUGB team. As a coach he has developed many of his students to the highest level. At our Super Saturday seminar in 2018, World and European Shotokan kata champion Sensei Hisham Saif credited him as one of his biggest influences.

This latest seminar will now consist of an indoor training and grading session for a small number of under 18s and an outdoor training and grading for everyone else.

Download the seminar guide for the full details. Training is subject to our 'return to indoor' training guide.

Registration is now open! Due to the change in circumstances we are now not able to invite members from other clubs to join us. You don’t have to be grading in order to join the seminars. Bookings must all be made online and are taken subject to our booking terms and conditions

If you’re hoping to grade, please read the grading-specific information in our seminar guide to make sure we can accept your booking.

It's nice to be able to organise another seminar and bring a bit of normality at an otherwise unsettled time. To reassure you that you about your booking we're taking these extra steps:

  • If there is a lockdown or another reason that stops the event from taking place, your full ticket price will be refunded.
  • If you are unable to make the event because you must self-isolate or you live in another area that is locked down you have until 29th November to cancel your ticket to receive a full refund.
The event is there for you, to help you get better at Karate under an expert visiting instructor. And while we want to make sure we cover our costs, it's important that you feel confident that you can go ahead and book. We hope this helps.
