END OF YEAR CELEBRATIONS

120 of you joined us on 17th December for our biggest ever Christmas Party. We were delighted to welcome those people that made this year another incredible one to celebrate: our members and their families. Thanks for your huge efforts, support and contributions throughout 2023!

Drinks were flowing throughout the afternoon, as Dan and Kevin made sure that everyone's glasses stayed full of mulled wine, mulled cider and a variety of other drinks besides. But there was much more to the party than mulling spices and mince pies, with the annual quiz a fantastic highlight.

Quizmasters Ian and Annette took to the mic to put the masses through their paces, with rounds including 'who's the actor behind Academy members face?' and the ever popular 'will it sink or will it float?' round! Congratulations to the table led by Matt Bennett, who took home the spoils of a hamper full of treats and - perhaps more importantly - bragging rights for the win!

Each Christmas we hold our annual Academy awards at our end of year bash, and this year was no exception. From best newcomer to our two Outstanding Karateka awards, we were delighted to recognise some noteworthy achievements from 2023. You can see the names of all of our winners here. Congratulations to you all!

We also took the time to acknowledge the many people that help to make sure you get the absolute best from Bristol Karate Academy. Thank you to all of our instructors and helpers for everything that you do.

At the end of the afternoon we were very lucky to welcome a special guest. It's an incredibly busy time of the year for him, but we're very grateful to Father Christmas for taking time out of his day to bring gifts to all the children. Good luck for your rounds!

A huge thank you to everyone that helped make the Christmas Party and Awards run so smoothly. We look forward to creating many more reasons to celebrate together as we prepare to open our doors for the new year on Tuesday 2nd January.
