Academy competitors are standing tall after their best ever performance at the JKS England National Championships. The event saw competitors from across the country descend on Grantham Meres Leisure Centre to determine who would be crowned JKS England National Champion. And with our biggest team to ever enter the event, their were hopes of a strong performance.

Bristol competitors didn’t disappoint. In fact across all age groups, categories and classifications, collectively we achieved 34 placings and 13 national titles, finishing second on the medal table for the tournament.

The club record for medals at the JKS England Nationals previously stood at 16, in 2023, so a haul of 34 more than doubled the record, setting an incredibly high benchmark for the future.

As has been the case for a long time, medals come from all age groups, from both kata (forms) and kumite (sparring) disciplines and in both team and individual categories.
