150 days after our last indoor Karate class, we’re back! On Wednesday 12th August classes resume at the first of our venues – Nailsea School.

We’re delighted to be welcoming you back to the dojo once again!  Plans are now in place to make your return to face-to-face training as safe as possible. Read everything you need to know in our 'return to indoor training guide'.

The new guide covers:
  • What to bring and what not to bring
  • Things to know before arriving at a class
  • What to expect when you arrive and leave
  • How things work during a class
  • Up-to-date venue-specific guidance as each of our dojos return to action
It is essential that you read the guide before coming for the first time so you’re clear on what’s changed.  For instance, we’re now using a different entrance and exit, both classes now take place in the Auditorium and our advanced class now starts at 7.45pm (instead of 7.30pm) to allow us to help manage the change-over between classes.

Book in advance

Because of the restrictions on numbers, all indoor classes must be booked in advance, using the same online booking system you’ve been using for our outdoor classes over the last two months.  If you’re new to the system, it’s really simple and gives you instant confirmation of your space. Book a space by logging in to your online member area or by following the links given in our regular emails and Facebook members only page.

A staged re-opening of all of our dojos

We’ll continue to make arrangements over the coming weeks to return to our other dojos as soon as it is safe. We’ll keep our members updated through our website, in our regular emails and through our social media channels.

We’d love to see you! But only when you feel ready

Please only come back to face-to-face indoor classes when you feel ready. While we’re transitioning back to our usual dojos over the next few weeks we’ll be continuing to offer a combination of indoor, outdoor and Zoom-based karate classes.

A huge thank you

This has been a period of significant upheaval that none of us could have foreseen. We have been forced out of the regular routine of our visits to the dojo and had to find other ways to train, both online and with outdoor sessions.

Everyone involved with the running of classes is hugely grateful for your continued support, enthusiasm and flexibility during such a turbulent time. While there is some way to go to beat the virus we want to say a huge thank you for staying positive, staying involved and continuing to learn and develop your Karate, week in and week out.
