How could we possibly follow up the last three Zoom special seminars, each with a British Grand Champion?  With two Australian Grand Champions that also happen to be ISKF World Champions too!

Bristol Karate Academy's morning session was taught from Down Under on Sunday, where around 50 of the Bristol faithful and their guests were treated to 90 minutes of inspiration and perspiration live from Adelaide.

Senseis Adam and Tracy Pearce of the TSKF (Australia's ISKF-affiliated group) led by example, showing the kind of intensity that encouraged everyone to give their best and the charisma and attitude that meant everyone wanted to do their best. The pair picked up their international titles at the same tournament - the 2016 ISKF World Championships in Cape Town, South Africa.

Adam Sensei, who led the first section, started of the class with a focus on hip movement and power generation. This was then built on by Tracy Sensei, who encouraged the use of smooth stepping transitions and a back leg drive to give greater explosion to our movements.

Senseis Adam and Tracy took part in a Q&A to finish the session, where they shared with us everything from how they overcame their nerves through to who motivates who to keep going!

We are exceptionally grateful to our talented guest instructors for sharing their karate, their experiences and their time with us. While their 2020 ISKF World Championship trip has sadly been delayed due to coronavirus we wish them the very best of luck as they prepare for the rescheduled 2021 tournament, set to take place just down the road in London!
