The last three guest instructors at Bristol Karate Academy were former KUGB Nationals Grand Champions (having won kata and kumite in the same year). And now we’re being joined by another one!

We’re delighted to be hosting Sensei Holly Bruce this Sunday morning, for an extended class, from 10-11.30am through Zoom! While the first hour will be suitable for all grades, the last half hour will focus on training for brown and black belts. Everyone is welcome to stay for the full time.  This seminar is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to our members for their continuing support during this tough time. It’s also open to guests from other clubs.

Holly Sensei was the first ever female to win back-to-back Grand Championships in 2012 and 2013 as well as being able to boast winning the KUGB National Kata title a phenomenal ten times! In international competition, Holly is a former WSKA world shotokan team kumite champion (2011) and has picked up numerous individual placings in both kata and kumite at the ESKA and WSKA European and World Championships. Now, as an illustrator and author, Holly is wowing the nation by combining her talents with her new book, Karate Kids!

For those on a Bristol Karate Academy monthly membership, this is INCLUDED in your membership. For guests or those on pay-as-you-go, it is THE SAME PRICE as our normal classes - just £5.  Payment should be made straight to the club's bank account: 30-62-96, 70401968.

We have 100 spaces on this online course and will save a minimum of 50 for members on monthly memberships. Because spaces are limited, all bookings cover you for ONE device connection only and payment is per person, not per device.

Bristol Karate Academy members: Those on the ‘pay as you go’ Basic Membership need to complete this quick survey to let us know you're coming.  Those on a monthly membership DO NOT need to register before attending. If you forget to book on and we still have plenty of spaces on Saturday night we'll let you know through our private members-only Facebook group.

Guests/non-members: Please complete this short survey to register. Once you've done this and also transferred your training fee of £5 to the club's bank account (30-62-96, 70401968) we will email you the meeting code to join. If there is a reason that you cannot pay by bank transfer, please let us know. Only those non-members that have paid by 10pm on Saturday 9th May will be able to join. Please remember to register for Zoom beforehand! It's your responsibility to make sure that you have the technology to join.
