ACADEMY STATEMENT ON CORONAVIRUS

Bristol Karate Academy continues to monitor Government advice on the prevention and spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

At present, lessons will continue as usual, including tomorrow's special seminar with Sensei Sherry in Nailsea.

We do ask, however, the following of all members over the coming weeks:
  • Anyone experiencing symptoms as described by the Government's website as a new continuous cough and/or high temperature should not attend the dojo.
  • Anyone that has been in contact with someone who has contracted the virus should not come to the dojo.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly both before and after the class, using plenty of soap and water (all dojos have hand washing facilities).
  • Antibacterial wipes are available at training for anyone using pads.
  • We shall continue to review training practices lesson-by-lesson to ensure the safety of our members.
We are reliant on our members deciding whether they are putting others at risk by training, so please think of your fellow Academy members.

As the situation in the UK evolves and advice from Government changes we will review our position and will only close if absolutely necessary. We are currently exploring options for remote training by video link in order to make sure that even if the dojo closes you are still able to continue training. We will update you further on this if it proves viable and if the situation necessitates this.

Thank you for your continued support and if you have any concerns then please don't hesitate to get in touch.
