Sensei Sherry returns to Bristol in March - make sure you're booked in as soon as possible!
We are delighted to invite you to a special seminar on Sunday 15th March, as we welcome back the KUGB's chief instructor, Sensei Andy Sherry (9th Dan) to Bristol! Booking is NOW OPEN!

Sensei Sherry is the driving force behind the Karate Union of Great Britain. He was the first ever KUGB grand champion, winning both Kata and Kumite in 1968, and was also the first ever European champion, winning the kata event in the same year. Today, at age 76, Sensei continues to lead from the front, training every day and teaching across the country and internationally.

This latest seminar takes place at Nailsea School and will consist of two classes plus a KUGB grading for those eligible. Club members that aren’t sure if they will be eligible should check their My Grading page online, where you can see whether you’ve completed enough sessions and have permission to grade. Permission to grade will be given at one of our special pre-grading classes (see the information sheet for full details of when these will take place).

This event is open to non-members. Running times are as follows:
  • Venue opens: 11.30am
  • All-grade seminar: 12.00-1.30pm
  • Kyu grading: 1.30-2.45pm
  • Dan grade seminar: 3.00-4.30pm
Depending on the number grading, the start and finish time of the Dan grade seminar may be delayed by a maximum of 20 minutes.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

Registration for both members and visitors from other clubs is now open! You can book in person or by emailing us. You don’t have to be grading in order to join the seminars. Bookings are taken subject to our booking terms and conditions. Please make sure you book early. Sensei Sherry's Bristol Karate Academy seminars are always fully booked, so book now to avoid disappointment.

If you’re hoping to grade, please read the grading-specific information in our information sheet to make sure we can accept your booking.
