75 eager karateka enjoyed an inspirational seminar with UK Karate pioneer Sensei Andy Sherry at Nailsea School, North Somerset, on Sunday. The event was hosted by Bristol Karate Academy and attended by Academy members as well as visitors from across the region.

Sensei Sherry, the Chief Instructor of the Karate Union of Great Britain, was on fine form, guiding a group whose experience varied from a few months to a few decades through Karate fundamentals, sparring and kata before assessing students for their next belt.  In all, 39 passed their grading exam, with three students now just one grade away from the coveted black belt.

We’d like to congratulate all those that passed for their achievement and we look forward to working with you - and other students that plan to grade next time around - towards your next goal.

We are currently have spaces at each of our dojos for those interested in learning Karate, so if you’re interested then take a look at the venues we teach at and get in touch.
