Our newest Bristol Karate Academy venue in Long Ashton - just minutes from the city centre
We're delighted to announce that we're starting a new class in Long Ashton from 11th September!

40 years after opening the first of our dojos in Backwell, the Academy is now opening up at Long Ashton Community Centre on Keedwell Hill - just four miles from the centre of Bristol - and we're pleased to welcome both new and existing members!

We'll be running classes every Tuesday:
  • Beginners to 4th kyus: 6.15-7.15pm
  • Brown & black belts: 6.15-7.45pm
Bristol Karate Academy head coach, Tim Griffiths, said, “We’re proud to be able to bring traditional Shotokan Karate to Long Ashton at last. With Long Ashton residents already visiting our venues in Nailsea, Backwell and Westbury-on-Trym it seems like a natural next step for us. And while we’re really pleased to be welcoming them along to a venue closer to their homes we’re mostly excited about the prospect of bringing this exciting martial art to a new audience, so if you’re interested to find out more then get in touch!”

MAKE HISTORY FOR JUST £1 AT OUR LONG ASHTON DOJO

We’d love September to be a success at the new Long Ashton dojo. To make sure we start with a bang - and as part of our support for the Bristol Active City initiative - we’re offering 20 members the opportunity to come to our opening night on 11th September for just £1 each*. Anyone who doesn’t manage to get into the first 20 is of course welcome too. We have space for 30 people in our first class. Please only book if you can definitely come! We want a packed venue to get us started. Book in by using the booking form on our Long Ashton venue page.

Make history - be there for the inaugural night!

FREE 1ST LESSON FOR BEGINNERS IN SEPTEMBER

Beginners can register for a free first lesson in Long Ashton during September, so if you’d like to give Karate a go either with your family or as an individual, go to our Long Ashton page and secure a space using the booking form.

*If you’re already on a monthly membership, you choose how you pay. This special offer can count towards your weekly training sessions (so there’s no extra charge) or you can pay £1 and still train 2-3 times at another Bristol Karate Academy dojo, depending on what membership level you’re on. It’s up to you. Just let us know in advance.
