JOIN US IN OCTOBER AS WE WELCOME SENSEI ALAN CAMPBELL!

We are delighted to welcome Head of JKS England, Sensei Alan Campbell for a special open seminar on Sunday 31st October. This event will include both a kyu grading (for anyone grading for 9th kyu and upwards) and a dan grading.

This event is open to Bristol Karate Academy members, JKS members and also members from other associations and federations. 

Alan Sensei is a 7th Dan and has had a distinguished career. He has been part of the JKA Asai faction for many years, competing at the JKA world championships as part of the GB squad. He passed his senior dan grades under the late, great Asai Shihan (5th Dan) and Kagawa Shihan (6th & 7th Dan). 

Download the seminar guide for the full details, including about the grading for those that are JKS members and eligible. Any JKS members that are not members of Bristol Karate Academy but still wish to grade should get in touch by 1st October at the latest.

If you’re hoping to grade, you must receive permission to grade before booking. Please read the grading-specific information in our seminar guide to make sure we can accept your booking.

For those attempting a dan grading (black belt grading), please book for your course online but follow the separate instructions you will be given to book the grading itself once you receive permission to grade.
