Today we held our first ever JKS grading and now have seven members that successfully passed their 1st kyu crossover grading.

For members to take their JKS 1st Dan they must first be JKS 1st kyus and so we held a special grading especially for these members to help in their preparation for their black belt exams later this year.  The standard was excellent and we were delighted to see everyone rewarded for their efforts in familiarising themselves with our new syllabus.

We are confident that all of those that took their crossover grading today will be in a position to attempt their shodan later this year, with some even able to take their exam on 18th July.  Good luck to everyone for the busy few weeks ahead!

For all of our other members hoping to grade, don't forget that we have our mon grading, 12th-10th kyu grading and 9th kyu and above grading all coming up in June. Keep working hard and let's push to show our examiners how much we've progressed over the last few months.
