After yesterday's confirmation that 'Step 2' of the government's roadmap for easing lockdown will go ahead as planned, we're delighted to be able to re-open for under 18s. Adults are expected to join us from 17th May onwards, in line with 'Step 3' of the government's schedule.

Here’s a summary of our return dates for under 18s:

Tuesdays (Long Ashton): To be confirmed - Long Ashton Community Centre remains closed at present.
Wednesdays (Nailsea): From 21st April
Thursdays (Westbury-on-Trym): 22nd April
Fridays (Backwell): From 23rd April
Sundays (Backwell): From 18th April

We've updated our 'return to indoor training guide' and we'll need everyone to read it before attempting to book for the first time.  Version 3 of the guide covers:
  • What's changed since we were last in the dojo.
  • Things to know before arriving at a class
  • What to expect when you arrive and leave
  • How things work during a class
  • Up-to-date venue-specific guidance for each of our dojos

BOOK IN ADVANCE

We'll continue to take all bookings using our existing online booking system. If you’re new to the system, it’s really simple and gives you instant confirmation of your space. Book a space by visiting bristolkarateacademy.com/bookaclass or by following the links given in our regular emails and on our Facebook members only page.

Throughout lockdown, we've had lots of enquiries from new starters. Those new to the Academy will be contacted over the next few weeks based on their place on the waiting list. So that we can accomodate our existing members that have stuck with us throughout the pandemic we're only able to offer a limited number of new starter spaces in April. Please bear with us as we continue to navigate a tricky period.

As usual, classes will only be available to book around a week before a class is due to take place.

THANK YOU

Thanks so much to everyone that has stuck with us through such a difficult time. It's been so heartening to see so many of you week in, week out on Zoom and now we look forward to seeing you back face-to-face in the coming weeks!
