Bristol Karate Academy

Seventy members and visitors enjoyed an excellent seminar with Sensei Frank Brennan (8th Dan) in Nailsea on Sunday.

Bristol Karate Academy were delighted to once again host this former WSKA world and ESKA European Champion, who is renowned across the world for his dynamic style of Karate. With three hours of instruction for those that trained in both classes, Sensei Brennan certainly didn’t disappoint.

As well as two classes, Sensei Brennan also took a grading examination, which Academy members had been working towards for the last four months. Congratulations to the 35 members who successfully passed their exam and were promoted to their next belt. What was particularly promising to see were the performances of the ten students from across the Westbury-on-Trym, Nailsea and Backwell clubs who were taking their first ever grading.

Thank you to so many Academy members for supporting the event, as well as to our visitors from Bristol Shotokan, Basingstoke, Okami, Somerset Ryu and Tiverton. A special thank you to all of those members that helped to make sure the day ran smoothly.
